Kern Latino and African American Students Achieve Victory in Landmark Settlement with Kern High School District

CRLA and a coalition of civil rights advocates have entered a settlement with the Kern High School District to stop their discriminatory discipline practices, which have deprived African American and Latino students of the right to an education.

National Day of Racial Healing

CRLA's education partner W.K. Kellogg Foundationhas organized the first ever National Day of Racial Healing on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. CRLA will be conducting a Know Your Rights workshop in Stockton for students and parents living in San Joaquin County with the goal of helping these students have a brighter future.

Farmworker Overtime!

Today Governor Jerry Brown extended the same overtime laws to farmworkers by signing AB 1066! It is a great day for those that picked the food that feeds us all. This is a great step for farmworker equality. As always, CRLA will work hard to ensure that this law is being upheld and that every farmworker is granted their full and equal rights.
