CRLA has a HUD funded fair housing project that provides a range of services to support fair housing and civil rights for farm workers and other rural populations who face housing discrimination. CRLA's work includes investigation of violations of state and federal fair housing laws, administrative complaints and litigation, education and outreach, land use and housing element advocacy, workshops, and training. Foreclosure Intervention Center

California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc. (CRLA) has a California State Bar funded project that provides a range of services to homeowners trying to avoid foreclosure. CRLA's work includes assisting clients through loan modifications, refinance, or transition assistance. CRLA Staff also investigate mortgage related scams and assist with reporting to appropriate enforcement agencies.

CRLA also provides foreclosure workshops and training to homeowners, housing counselors and other agencies. The workshops and trainings help stymie the effects of discriminatory lending practices in rural communities across the state.
